Wintertime can lead to some of the worst conditions to drive with icy roads, snow, and early darkness. New drivers often feel anxious with these harsher conditions while on the road.
Berlin’s school resource officer Deputy Palmer is an experienced snow driver and provides tips for new drivers.
“Slow down. There’s no hurry to get wherever you’re going. Check your car over. A lot of times when it snows overnight, they don’t clear off the snow completely. There may be frost on your windows,” Palmer said.
When driving this winter, be sure to slow down and take your time on the roads.
