Track and Field season is underway and the throws team is gearing up for their meet this weekend. Darshana Sudamani ‘28 and Rishika Boda ’28 to dive deeper into what it means to be a thrower.
“There are some pretty complicated movements that we learn in the throws department and so I’d say, maybe aside from the pole vaulters, the real athletes are the throwers. They have a lot more things to think about,” Coach Martin said.
There is a lot of technique put into throws that many don’t think about.
“You have so many moving parts of the throw that happen in less than two seconds that you can really get into your head,” Coach Steph said.
At the end of February, the throws team has worked hard everyday as a family, making each other better and provides constructive criticism and feedback.
