To move 4,000 miles from home would intimidate many, but not sophomore Sofia Aguilera Cabot.
Sofia moved to Ohio from Isla Cristina, Spain, as an exchange student at Olentangy Berlin High School. During her time in the United States, she faced both challenges and positive experiences.
“My dad always told me that if something was big in Spain, it would be five times bigger in the U.S.,” Sofia said. “I never thought I would see so many different flavors of Oreos.”
Despite cultural differences between Spain and the United States, Sofia said her friends and host family helped her create life long memories.
