Jan. 17, Chevrolet released a video on their official Youtube to showcase their recent project for 2024, an electric-all-wheel drive (AWD) system LT2 V8 engine Corvette.

This new car is anticipated for several of its unique characteristics:

   Quick Facts

The car can reach upwards of 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. In 10.5 seconds, the vehicle can travel a quarter mile. Overall the car reaches 655 horsepower. Its electric drive unit provides stealth mode and the battery is self-charging. Its all-wheel drive provides 4-season capability and real-time dynamic car adjustment.
  Engine: LT2 V8 Engine

The newest engine from Chevrolet features 495 horsepower, 470 lb. ft. of torque, and a 6.2-liter mid-engine. With an additional 160 horsepower from the e-AWD, electric drive unit, the car achieves an overall 655 horsepower.

It features eight 210-millimeter intake runners to maximize torque and airflow. A dry‑sump oil scavenge system uses three pumps for oil quality and flows to critical areas when the car reaches a high g‑force and acceleration.

   Transmission: 8-Speed Transmission

The transmission combines an automatic smooth shift with the control of a manual. Overall, it achieves high efficiency and quick shifts for shorter lap times. A Drive Style Index uses driver inputs to adjust gear holds and downshifts to the individual.

   Battery and Electric Drive Unit

A 1.9-kilowatt-hour lithium‑ion battery created a Corvette that uses an electric drive unit to power its front wheels. The battery is self‑charging and its battery system includes an integrated power electronics system designed to maximize responsiveness, efficiency, and performance.

The electrified motor adds 160 horsepower to the car and the electric motor adds 125 lb.-ft. of torque to the front wheels. The result is efficient and controllable acceleration.

The system offers limited EV‑only drive ‘stealth’ modes that use an electric drive unit to let you drive short distances at limited speeds that allow for discreet and relatively quiet movement.

   All Wheel Drive (AWD)

The AWD allows for improved four‑season capability with intelligent controls that dynamically adjust in real-time to provide front axle assistance for stability, balance, and control.

   Exterior

Soon to be available in coupe and convertible, the car adds wider fenders, quarter panels, and fascias compared to its predecessors to create a sleek, sculpted presence with better aerodynamics and performance. Ground effects and a spoiler is also used for increased aerodynamic prowess.

Wider wheels and all-season tires are also meant to improve stance and performance in variable conditions. Standard carbon ceramic brakes also improve stop precision.

New badges and customizable stripes, exterior accents, and wheels allow drivers customization for more driver personalization.

   Interior

A Head-Up Display provides drivers with a transparent display that presents data from drivers’ usual viewpoints so drivers can focus on the road. The car also has a Performance Data Recorder available that evaluates one’s drive and provides information to improve the drive. The vehicle has standard wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, as well as a 14-speaker Bose Performance Series system. The inside is also customizable.

The car includes driver information screens with the vehicle’s battery power and performance parameters. The E-Ray App will also provide drivers with a look at more performance data, power data, and vehicle information.

The prices provided show couplets start at 102,900 dollars and convertibles start at 109,900 dollars. Although many of the features aren’t practical for an average day’s drive, the car marks a new line of innovation. With consistently improved performance, speed, and design, the new car is likely to mark the start of a new generation of electric sports cars.
