Kevin Durant is known as one of the best scorers in NBA history, and he is also one of the most controversial stars off the court.
Durant is linked to controversy right now as tweets have surfaced all over the internet from his account, people think it is the Basketball star, Durant. The posts from this account are filled with hate towards former teammates, owners, and coaches.
Though it is not confirmed to be Durant, people think it’s him due to the lengthy history of burner accounts used by him.
In the past, Durant made a burner account named @hoya2434 most of these tweets at the time were more of him defending himself against haters online. This time it is different because it he was the one giving out hate.
“If you don’t screen and pass up shots for Steph[Curry] U gettin waived,” Durant said on X. “I can’t trust Jabari[Smith] to make a (expletive) shot or get a stop, he’s lowkey (expletive).”
He was talking about his current teammate, Jabari Smith, a former third overall pick in the draft.
Now here are the reasons that people think it is actually Durant and not an internet troll: One reason that it could be Durant is that during the All-Star weekend, Durant was found to be on his phone excessively, especially during pregame warm-ups and in locker rooms.
Also, this account went private as soon as allegations started to spread about it. On Durant’s main account, he has yet to deny any allegations towards the account.
In the past, Durant posted a picture of an owl staring into a camera on his main account and when the burner was made the banner on the burner account was the owl staring into the camera. Durant was recently asked about the account by a reporter and this is what Durant had to say about it.
“I am not here to get into that Twitter nonsense. Just here to focus on the season. Keep it pushin’,” Durant said, according to yahoosports.com.
Even after this answer, people still think it is Durant since he technically did not deny any of the allegations even when asked directly and it looked like he tried to avoid the question. Again, this is not confirmed to be Durant but it makes for a very interesting story.
