With March Madness right around the corner, DBSN announced its second schoolwide bracket challenge.
Last year, DBSN held its first challenge with over 100 Berlin students who participated and competed for prizes from sponsors.
This year, the challenge will operate in a similar fashion to last year. After Selection Sunday on March 16, DBSN will print out copies of the official bracket and staff will go around each lunch to pass out brackets to any student who wants to enter the competition. Copies of the bracket will also be available in room 2005 in the business hallway if students do not receive one at their lunch but would still like to participate.
In order to be eligible to win, students must be following DBSN on its Instagram page. On each copy of the paper bracket, students should write their Instagram account name and their name. If students do not have Instagram or any social media, they may still participate but should indicate this on their bracket.
Perhaps the best part, is that students do not have to know anything about college basketball (or really basketball in general) to participate, as March Madness is largely about luck and not knowledge.
The first games of March Madness begin with the First Four on March 18 and March 19 in Dayton, OH, where eight teams compete in four play-in games to make it to the first round. The first round starts on Thursday, March 20, according to the NCAA.
More details will be announced soon so be sure to check out DBSN’s Instagram page as well as other announcements around the school for more information.
