Cold Stone: Enjoy ice cream, create memories

If you want a new ice cream place to visit with a variety of flavors and toppings, then Cold Stone Ice Cream is the place for you. They provide four sizes of ice cream, the ‘Like it’, ‘Love it’, ‘Gotta Have it’, and a kids size. Cold Stone provides ice creams, cakes, sorbets, and smoothies. The prices can range from $7 to $9 which depends on what size you get and how many toppings are added as toppings are $1.29 each.

The Cheesecake Fantasy is a Cold Stone signature with Cheesecake ice cream with strawberries, blueberries, and graham pie crust. The toppings and ice cream complement each other to create a tasty and sweet treat. The Cheesecake ice cream has a smooth creamy flavor and is delicious. The frozen fruits add freshness and complete the whole thing. I would recommend this to people who like a semi sweet flavor and want something heavy and filling.

Another flavor I tried was the Dark Chocolate ice cream with toasted almonds. If you don’t like sweet flavored ice cream at all, then this flavor is perfect for you. The Dark Chocolate ice cream is very bitter and has little sweetness to it. It’s not one of my favorites and is not for those who love sweets. This ice cream paired with the crunch of the toasted almonds was good but is something that I don’t plan to try again.

The best for last, I tried a mix of Banana ice cream with yellow cake, toasted almonds, bananas, and graham pie crust. This is my absolute favorite thing to get at Cold Stone and it always will be. I ate this as a child and I’ve loved it ever since. The banana ice cream has the perfect level of sweetness for me and the toppings all add more flavor to it. The bananas mixed in add freshness while the yellow cake and pie crust blend in beautifully with the ice cream. This ice cream brought back nostalgia and I enjoy it every single time. Banana ice cream is certainly not a popular flavor but I wouldn’t hate it until you try it. If anyone wants a fun new ice cream combo to try, this is the one.

My overall rating of Cold Stone Ice Cream would be 10/10. They have so many different ice cream flavors and things that you can mix in. The staff was patient and nice but the service can be a bit slow which depends on when you visit. They also have other things you can try if you don’t like ice cream or are lactose intolerant.

Cold Stone Ice Cream is located in many different areas which includes Polaris Parkway, Westerville, Dublin, and Gahanna. The closest location for most Berlin students would be the one in Polaris since it’s about 25 minutes from here which depends on where you live and the traffic. The close and open times differ based on which location you go to. The Cold Stone Ice Cream in Polaris closes at 10 pm, Sunday through Thursday, and closes at 11 pm, Friday and Saturday. The shop opens at 11am throughout the week. To learn more about Cold Stone Ice Cream, you can visit their website, Cold Stone Ice Cream – Birthday Cakes Cupcakes Bakery (coldstonecreamery.com).
