The Olentangy District has decided to further the opportunities provided to students through the new development of BridgED.

BridgED was created to help “bridge the gap” that is between school atmosphere and the business field. It will give students the chance to participate in internships, and foster new workplace skills that will aid them in their future.

The five employers who collaborated with the district are The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Worthington Industries, JPMorgan Chase, Honda Motor Company, and Elford Construction. The founder of BridgED, Christy Bertolo, will moderate this panel.

A panel with a representative from each employer will be held on October 19, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. It will be held in the Berlin High School Theater and will be open to any individual who is interested in information on this activation team.

This session will highlight the trends that have emerged, how the workforce has changed and continues to change, and the specific skills needed for the jobs that will be available for the Olentangy district students throughout and after college.

The aim of this development is to create skills that last like the ability to solve adversities that real companies and the district face from day to day. For more information, contact Krista Davis at [email protected]
