Cozy movie and TV show recommendations to introduce the fall season into your home

When Harry Met Sally
The 90s romcom, When Harry Met Sally, follows friends Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal who, when they frequently cross paths, wonder if they are meant for more. While the premise of the movie is not primarily fall-themed, the soft music, cozy sweaters, and colorful leaves in the Big Apple make it highly memorable as such.
Harry Potter
The film series Harry Potter is for all ages and a great introduction to the spooky months. Not only does the movie series employ witches and wizards into the season, but the wide variety of sweaters and flannels in the wardrobe characterize them as “must-watch” seasonal favorites.
Pride & Prejudice
From Jane Austen’s 1813 novel, Pride and Prejudice is a movie filled with love, hate, and family growth. As a personal comfort movie of mine, the classical music and dewy atmosphere are best enjoyed cozied up next to the fire, hot apple cider in hand, in the midst of fall.
Twilight
The love triangle between a vampire, a werewolf, and a normal teenage girl lights a spark in the very dim town of Forks, Washington. With the cold filters and calm soundtrack, Twilight embodies both the chill and warmth the fall season filters in.
Fantastic Mr. Fox
Based on Ronald Dahl’s novel, Fantastic Mr. Fox is appropriate for all ages and a perfect option for a family movie night. From the color palette, flavorful feasts, and nostalgic soundtrack, Fantastic Mr. Fox is one of the best films to introduce autumn into your home.
Little Women (2018)
Little Women (2018) is a redeveloped classic based on Louisa May Alcott’s novel, published in 1868. This feel-good movie portrays a tale of family, forgiveness, and self-identity of four sisters during the 19th century, played by Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh, Emma Watson, and Eliza Scanlen. The movie also stars Meryl Streep, Timothee Chalamet, Laura Dern, and more in separate roles.
Gilmore Girls
To top off the list, this television series is set in a small town called Stars Hollow and revolves around the relationship of a mother and her daughter as they take on the obstacles of college, teen drama, and family hardships. In my opinion, Gilmore Girls is the visual representation of warm spices and baked pumpkin on a screen.
