Each year at OBHS, the art department hosts an art show and festival to recognize the many talented student artists at Berlin. This year marks the 7th annual event and will feature art displays and awards; games and activities for children, such as origami and face painting; food trucks, and more.
The art department staff have prepared for months to put on this event, but this week preparations are in full swing as the school’s entranceway is being transformed into an art showcase.
“It’s a lot of work,” teacher Israel Martin said.
But, it pays off when the students’ work is on display for the community to see the wealth of talent at OBHS. Attendees at the festival will see sculptures, paintings, jewelry, pottery, illustrations, digital art, and more, along with contributions from other departments such as industrial technology (e.g. woodworking) and journalism (e.g. magazine design spreads).
The festival takes place on Saturday, April 26th from 11am to 3pm at Olentangy Berlin High School.
