Singer and songwriter Sabrina Carpenter released “Short N’ Sweet” as her sixth studio album on August 23, 2024. Following the release of her album, she started her “Short N’ Sweet” tour, which lasted from Tuesday, September 24, 2024, to Friday, April 4, 2025. On February 14th, 2025, she released a deluxe version of “Short N’ Sweet”.
Carpenter included a handful of new songs on the deluxe album. Starting with track 13: “15 Minutes”, track 14: “Please, Please, Please” (feat. Dolly Parton), which she also released a music video for, track 15: “Couldn’t Make It Any Harder”, track 16: “Busy Woman” and track 17: “Bad Reviews”. With all of these songs, the deluxe album totals 17 songs and 51 minutes.
You can purchase her deluxe album online, streaming music, CDs, and vinyl. I currently have her vinyl, which I first listened to the new songs on. I loved every song on her album without the deluxe version. I have been a fan since I was old enough to watch TV. I went to two of her tours, I had VIP access to her “Short N’ Sweet” tour, and I’ve also met her a few times.
I am easily a huge fan. But there was one song I just couldn’t get behind, and that was when she sang with Dolly Parton. I am also a Dolly fan. I have a few of her albums on vinyl, but she didn’t sound good on the song. The country approach wasn’t the problem. I just feel that she didn’t sound the best, and the song “Please, Please, Please” was already iconic and popular, so it didn’t need her featured on it.
Other than that, this album remains a no-skip album for me. My personal favorite would have to be “Busy Woman” or “Couldn’t Make It Any Harder” (from the songs she added). Also, the new cover for the Deluxe album was gorgeous. I loved the picture 100 times more than the cover she had for the original. Having both on vinyl as well as CD (as soon as I get paid and can buy it) and having gone to the tour, I can also confidently say that this is an album any pop fan should listen to. As a fan of her debut on “Girl Meets World,” I was so happy for her after the release of this album. She won her first Grammy just a few weeks ago in February and opened for Taylor Swift. This is, for sure, her most popular album, but it is all deserved.
I would rate it a 10/10, especially the deluxe version (even though I skip the Dolly Parton feature), with basically no skips. I feel like the new songs on this version add more character to her life and the story that she’s singing about. If you haven’t already, this is for sure a must-listen for fans and pop listeners.
