Since 2020, a group of lively, loyal, stubborn teenagers in Outer Banks, North Carolina, have enwrapped television viewers on a show on Netflix called Outer Banks.
With three seasons already released, dedicated fans were ecstatic for the release of season four, released on Oct. 10. This new adventure will be released in two parts, one on Oct. 10, and the second on Nov. 2.
The show started with four friends: John B, JJ, Pope, and Kiara. In Outer Banks they were called “Pogues.” The “Pogues” were the less fortunate of the town, living life on the edge, left ignored and neglected. In complete contrast, the “Kook” were the wealthy and proper class in Outer Banks. With both “tribes” in one area, the kooks and pogues fought often.
Seasons one through three follows the four pogues as they hunt for a long lost treasure that John B’s father disappeared in search of. Along the way, plans change, and new friends are added, which includes Sarah Cameron, previously labeled “kook princess.” All in all, the characters learn the importance of found family in the midst of a crazy, action packed adventure.
Season four picks up right where the friend group left off in season three, after they found the lost city of El Dorado. With the money they have from their found gold, the Pogues try to live a “normal life” as they build their own tackle and bait shop, and live at “Paradise on Earth.”
The show kicked off with a red carpet premiere in the filming location, Charleston, S.C. On Oct. 8, the cast got the opportunity to meet fans of the show, and celebrate the work put into this new season.
