The Bear Dear Den Dash kicked off a day of Homecoming fun on September 27, with boys’ and girls’ cross country teams from all across Ohio who gather at Berlin.
The teams collectively raced and created a supportive and family-like environment as they bonded while their dash took place. Students had friends, family, and teachers show up to motivate them during the race, with many holding signs of encouragement. The dash stimulated a great mental health environment where all students could have fun while they teamed up to try to win the dash.
“We really make sure we focus on the team aspect as well, getting each other prepared mentally and physically,” participant Adriana Ybarra ‘26 said.
