Find your future summer job

   As some know, summer is right around the corner. If you want some summer money, you are in need of a job.

   When teens work in the summer it helps them learn to be responsible, reliable and make good relationships.

    An outdoorsy, highly social, fun job to do with your friends is to be a Lifeguard. The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium will hire Lifeguards, and pay starts at $20 an hour with a $1,000 end-of-season bonus. It is a seasonal position that also comes with a free Zoo and Zoombezi Bay pass for the summer. If you don’t have your lifeguard certification it is provided at no cost.

   If the Outdoors is not for you and to be inside sounds better for the hot season, then a Grocery stocker at your local grocery store might be better. The average pay for a Grocery stocker is $14.91 per hour.  According to Walmart, the work entails you to count inventory and stack items on shelves in an organized system to ensure all items fit properly for consumers to browse.

   The summer is no good without the movies. At Marcus Theater they will hire for many positions, one, in particular, is a Theatre Associate Cncssns. This position will Greet/assist people, issue tickets, sell food & beverages, and ensure auditoriums, seats, lobby, hallways, and restrooms are clean.    Do kids scare you or do you enjoy their company? Well if you like kids, a kid’s Camp Counselor is a great gig. The YMCA is always on the look for Camp Counselors for the summer, the hourly pay is $14 an hour. According to the YMCA, your responsibilities are to execute camp programs and assist in the creation of a safe, active, and fun environment. And the benefits of the job are free YMCA Membership for you and your household, No late nights, and no weekends.
