While basketball season is in full swing, many students head to Berlin to support and watch the team. While this is a great asset of the school, the postgame food options may often seem limited. Where could Bears eat other than Sheetz?

The options for food on 36/37 are anything but limited, and most are very close to Berlin. When Bears look for food options after games, and in general, proximity has to be considered.

One delicious contender for quick food and a hangout spot after games is Cane’s. The menu is simplistic, but it fits the tastes of many, and they’re open until midnight. They’re also right across the street from Sheetz on 36/37, which allows for it to not be too far out of the way.

“Cane’s is my go-to because it’s real[ly] close to my house,” Bella Yandura ‘24 said.

After students go to Cane’s, they can make a stop at Crumbl, which is right across the street and open until midnight. Their flavors change every week which causes them to always be a surprise, and a box of four is a perfect portion size to share with friends. They’re known as the “insomnia cookies” for a reason, and aftergames is a great time to go.

Another great option is Steak ‘n Shake. They’re also open until midnight and have plenty of seating for a good post-game hangout. With their burgers, fries, and shakes, their menu is comparable to Sheetz’s. Both definitely have differences in taste, so which is better is a personal preference for everyone.

Taco Bell can also be a quality option for a post-game snack. Most are open until 3 in the morning, so their hours aren’t an issue for aftergames. They have different types of food than any of the previously listed places as they lean more towards a Mexican variety.

When asked about his favorite thing on their menu, Kai Qiu-Murphy ‘24 said that his favorite order consists of the Cheesy Gordita Crunch with a Baja Blast Freeze.

“I definitely enjoy a good Taco Bell run with the guys after games,” Qiu-Murphy said.

While all of these restaurants are great places to get a post-game meal, it would be a disservice not to give Sheetz a proper mention. They’re open 24 hours a day and have a very wide variety of food on their menu. They have burgers, sandwiches, smoothies, milkshakes, and so much more available.
