Oviya Konar ‘25, Avery McBride ‘25, and Kayla Walsh ‘25 created Berlin’s Swiftie Society, an opportunity for any Bear who loves Taylor Swift to talk about, share their passion for the singer, and participate in fun activities.

Konar, McBride, and Walsh all shared a common passion for the singer and decided to create the club to form a community of other students who love Swift.

“It was hard to find more people that were as excited as us so we thought why not make a club that brings together everyone who also likes Taylor Swift and just create a small community of people with similar interests,” Konar said.

The club discusses all things Taylor Swift in a laid-back environment.

“… It’s really just a way to release stress,” McBride said.

Each meeting will include different activities based on Swift and her music. There will be trivia, games, study groups, song creation, coloring pages, conversation, and more.

“I personally love how eloquently Taylor Swift can convey her emotions through her songs and how intricate and deep her lyrics are,” Walsh said.

All three of the club’s founders and leaders have a strong love and knowledge of Swift and her music, but this is not a requirement to join the Swiftie Society.

“It would be great for people to branch out and experience music they haven’t before,” Walsh said.

The club had an information meeting on Oct. 31, but you can still join the club. The club will hold its first official meeting on Nov. 14 in Allyson Cromleigh, the club’s advisor’s room 1123 at 6:50 a.m.

“I have loved Taylor Swift since I was in high school. When the ladies approached me about being the advisor I knew I was the perfect person,” Cromleigh said.

To join the club or to get more information make sure to watch out for Schoology posts. you can also join the club’s Remind. To do this, text @swiftieso to 81010.

“People should join Swiftie Society to make new friends, have a good time, and share music with people around you,” McBride said.
